Getty Images announces display partnership with OpenAI

Getty Images has announced a display partnership with OpenAI, expanding how licensed Getty content can appear inside OpenAI experiences. Under the agreement, Getty Images’ licensed content libraries will be shown across OpenAI search and discovery features within ChatGPT. The deal is intended to make AI-powered visual search and discovery more “useful and more trustworthy” by improving the quality of images available for display. Getty CEO Craig Peters said the collaboration reflects shared recognition of the value of high-quality licensed visuals for AI systems. The announcement positions Getty’s archive as part of OpenAI’s user-facing search and discovery workflow in ChatGPT.
