Gonna punch the tiger.' ESPN's Matt Barrie didn't enjoy Auburn mascot's hijinks

Auburn mascot Aubie’s on-field antics drew an immediate reaction from ESPN analyst Matt Barrie during the “SEC Nation” halftime show on Oct. 24 at Jordan-Hare Stadium. With nearly 90,000 fans inside and Auburn trailing LSU, the hosts—Barrie, Roman Harper, Jordan Rodgers and Tim Tebow—were breaking down the first 30 minutes when Aubie tossed candy at them from a pumpkin basket. After one candy piece hit Barrie on his back as he transitioned out of the segment, Barrie joked, “I’m gonna punch the tiger if he doesn’t stop throwing candy at me,” prompting laughter. Auburn managed a 7-7 draw in the final 30 minutes but had already fallen behind in the first half, 346-167 in yards and 261 passing yards allowed.
