Henry Winkler names the one Happy Days actor who had an ego on set

Henry Winkler, who played Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli on Happy Days, said the sitcom’s on-set vibe was “an ensemble” rather than built around stardom. Speaking at a Tennessee fan expo on July 11, alongside Anson Williams and Don Most, the Emmy winner recalled an unnamed guest actor who kept boasting about receiving fan mail. Winkler said he told the performer he had 50,000 letters a week and warned that they didn’t discuss fan mail on set. Winkler later identified the character as Eugene, played by Denis Mandel, who appeared in 10 episodes across seasons 8 and 9.
