Broadcom CEO Hock Tan reiterated a major outlook for AI chips, and the market’s response has been mixed. On its June 3 earnings call, Tan said the company expects about $56 billion in AI semiconductor revenue for fiscal 2027, up roughly 180% from fiscal 2025, and reaffirmed guidance that AI semiconductor revenue will exceed $100 billion in fiscal 2027. The company’s AI semiconductor revenue reached $10.8 billion in the fiscal second quarter of 2026 (ended May 3), up 143% year over year, and it guided $16.0 billion for the third quarter. Even with the forecast intact, the stock trades near $370 versus a 52-week high of $495—about 25% lower—before Broadcom’s fiscal third-quarter report on Sept. 2.
