Hong Kong AI International Film Festival Association Reports First Market Results: 101 AI Films Traded for Over US$12 Million
The Hong Kong AI International Film Festival Association says the Hong Kong AI Film Market has recorded its first large-scale commercial rights trades. Organizers report that the initial partner group completed transactions covering 101 AI-made and AI-related film titles, with aggregate deal value of more than US$12 million. The market is described as the world’s first dedicated trading hub for rights in AI-made screen works, registered in 2025, built over 15 months, and launched in July 2026 during the Hong Kong AI International Film Festival. Deals span well beyond cinemas and streaming, reaching TV, subscription platforms, FAST channels, airline inflight entertainment, hotel networks, museums and education. The association says future global expansion across six continents will continue, with partner names and title lists released in stages under confidentiality arrangements.
