How The Philippines' Largest Online Gaming Operator Wagered All And Won

DigiPlus Interactive’s chairman Eusebio Tanco reshaped the Philippines’ online gaming landscape after the pandemic forced a pivot to digital. In January 2022, when the country hit a record daily Covid-19 case count, the company—then called Leisure & Resorts World—moved from largely offline bingo halls and gaming cafés toward online gaming via a platform launched from scratch. Built initially as BingoPlus, the shift supported recovery, with net income of 600.7 million pesos ($9.8 million) in 2022. Over the next three years, DigiPlus expanded into sports betting and casino-style games including slots and live dealer formats. It said registered users reached 40 million last year, helped by wider adoption of mobile wallets. By 2024 it led online gaming by gross gaming revenue, with 83.1 billion pesos in 2025.
