How Windows is being optimized for Nvidia's RTX Spark laptops
xCruzo Brief
Microsoft and Nvidia are rolling out their first wave of RTX Spark laptops, with launch events held in San Francisco and follow-up media sessions explaining the new platform. While the notebooks look like typical Windows PCs, the Arm-based chips replace the usual x64 architecture used by AMD and Intel. The RTX Spark concept pairs an Arm CPU with a Blackwell GPU and unified memory to help local AI models and “AI agents” run more efficiently on a laptop. Windows gets a new “Get Started” flow that lets users find, start, install, and access supported agents in two clicks. At launch, Microsoft lists Hermes, Perplexity, and OpenClaw, while Microsoft works to add more.
