Investigating cyber attack claims, reports say

H&M Group is investigating online claims that it was targeted by a cybercriminal group called Shinyhunters, The Times reported Monday. The gang previously claimed responsibility for a major Jaguar Land Rover cyberattack last summer and for attacks involving Scattered Spider and Lapsus. It also reportedly demanded about £400,000 in ransom after an alleged Ticketmaster breach in 2024. An H&M spokeswoman told The Times the company is looking into a potential cybersecurity incident involving limited-scope H&M data and said there is no indication so far that its data environment was compromised. The UK’s ICO had not received a report as of Monday lunchtime. H&M shares were down 1.5% on Monday, after earlier quarterly sales growth.
