Jodie Foster wonders if F1 movie was made with AI
Jodie Foster said she has wondered whether the 2025 racing film “F1” was made with artificial intelligence, while speaking at the Aspen Ideas Festival in Colorado. The Oscar-winning actress referenced the movie starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris as an example of a project that appeared to be generated using generative AI. Foster said she was not making the claim disparagingly, noting the film “made millions of dollars,” and argued that its structure resembled what students learn from scripts. She also suggested the dialogue delivery and precision of line readings looked like output from a computer. “F1,” directed by Joseph Kosinski and written by Ehren Kruger, earned more than $600 million at the box office and received four Oscar nominations, winning Best Sound. Foster also acknowledged AI’s job impact in Hollywood, while calling it potentially useful in pre-production.
