Men who abused Jewish man for TikTok video given suspended jail sentences
Two men, Adam Bedoui and Abdelkader Amir Bousloub, were sentenced to suspended prison terms after abusing a Jewish man in east London for an antisemitic TikTok video. The Metropolitan Police said the 21-year-olds travelled to Clapton Common in Hackney on 7 May, where Bousloub shouted religiously aggravated abuse while filming and Bedoui laughed and harassed the victim. They admitted the offence at Thames Magistrates’ Court and were each given a six-week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, on Friday. Police said they attempted to flee when officers were called around 21:00 BST and were arrested. Prosecutors said they aimed to upload the clip to social media to amplify harm, while a police lead said there is no place for antisemitic hate in the city. The case follows attacks on London’s Jewish community, including a double stabbing in Golders Green and suspected synagogue arson.
