New York Accent Ranked Second Most Trusted AI Voice In National Survey

A new national survey ranks the New York City accent as the second most trusted AI voice in the U.S., behind only the Southern accent. The study polled more than 3,000 people nationwide on which AI voice they want to hear. Respondents said the New York accent feels confident, clear, and direct, and many associated it with getting to answers quickly. In trust rankings, the New York accent also placed second, tying with BBC English for which voice people trust most for important topics like money and finances. The survey also found broader preferences: about 75% of respondents want AI voices to sound more like real people, not robots, and roughly 63% prefer accents that match where they live.
