Treasury Announces Launch of Trump Accounts App and Next Steps for Trump Accounts

The Treasury’s Trump Accounts launch marks a major milestone in expanding access to a program designed to build long-term financial strength from day one. The Trump Accounts app is now available nationwide on the Apple App Store and Google Play, serving as the primary interface for the initiative. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent framed the rollout as a simple, secure pathway for families to participate in a broader push for youth economic participation. Activation for millions of families will occur before the official July 4, 2026 launch, with staged emails to those who enrolled by submitting IRS Form 4547 beginning immediately. Beginning July 4, 2026, accounts will accept contributions from eligible contributors, subject to annual limits, and eligible children will receive a $1,000 pilot deposit. The app directs users to TrumpAccounts.gov for setup. To guard against scams, legitimate communications will come only via email from the stated address and not by text or phone calls.
