Jiaqi Holds Academic Exchange with Konstantin Novoselov, Father of Graphene and Nobel Laureate in Physics
Jiaqi Hu, chairman of Humanitas Ark, held a substantive two-hour-plus academic exchange with Sir Konstantin Novoselov, the 'father of graphene' and a 2010 Nobel Laureate in Physics. The May 22 meeting followed prior discussions with Barry Barish and Michael Levitt and focused on technology development and humanity’s future. Hu outlined his academic framework and the participants discussed methodology for reasoning about technology-induced human extinction, global governance of technology, artificial intelligence, and nuclear weapons. Novoselov expressed strong interest in Hu’s books and the professor signed the guestbook after a warm, collaborative dialogue. The exchange underscores ongoing global scientific dialogue on safety and governance of advanced technologies.
