Nvidia CEO encourages Europe's AI sector | Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang used a Berlin stage to press Europe’s AI industry to accelerate, citing both computing constraints and a path to faster deployment of data centers. Speaking Wednesday at the Nvidia GTC conference to about 3,000 developers, analysts, and journalists at Tempodrom, Huang said Europe’s AI economy is “starting” and accelerating, especially as AI expands from language models into physical applications in manufacturing. He described Nvidia’s Vera Rubin DSK Pod, a modular computing center delivered in a shipping-container-like box, saying it can cut the time to set up an AI data center at a prepared site from months to days. Huang said Nvidia has invested $10 billion in European startups and partners in the past year, and referenced OpenShell software aimed at external control and safety policies for AI apps.
