Physical SIM Anywhere? What Apple Actually Says About iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro

Apple’s messaging about “physical SIM anywhere” doesn’t match the company’s own device details. For iPhone 18 Pro, Apple lists 12 specific markets where the phone drops its SIM tray, naming Bahrain, Canada, Guam, Japan, Kuwait, Mexico, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, United States, and U.S. Virgin Islands—12 exceptions among more than 65 availability regions on September 18. For iPhone Duo, Apple states it is eSIM-only worldwide, with dual active eSIM support and “not compatible with physical SIM cards.” iPhone Duo expands to more than 70 countries on October 23 and 28 more on October 30. Apple also pairs Duo’s eSIM approach with satellite features included for two years.
