Pokémon Ruby 2 Is The Sequel We've Waited 24 Years For
Pokémon Ruby 2, positioned as a long-awaited sequel to the 2003 Hoenn classics, is advancing through an unofficial development effort announced by King Cradi. The project is set to take place five years after Pokémon Ruby, while continuing the story from an alternate ending. King Cradi has shared regular update videos on YouTube, including a progress update released in January, stating the sequel is still in development despite taking time. The updates also point to a Dark-type Gym that players will have to face. A free download link is expected later this year, contingent on having a legitimate copy of Pokémon Ruby. The wider context includes anticipation for Pokémon Winds and Waves, described as the next major entry expected to bring Gen 10.
