Quantum Systems raises $1.2B to expand drone production and deployments
Quantum Systems has raised $1.2 billion in Series D funding to expand drone production and deployment, pushing the company’s valuation above $8 billion. The defense drone supplier, based in Gilching, Germany, said the round gives it more than $1.2 billion in “dry powder” to execute its next growth phase, and it described its strategy as building autonomous systems that can operate together across domains in real time. Co-founder and co-CEO Florian Siebel said the firm is profitable and already deployed globally, with a next-generation “neo-prime” intended to disrupt defense operations. Quantum Systems develops fully autonomous uncrewed aerial systems for frontline forces, providing multi-sensor intelligence for government and commercial customers. In Ukraine in 2025, it reported executing over 19,000 missions, and it has expanded production footprints across Germany, Ukraine, the U.S., Australia, Romania, the U.K., and the Baltics. The Series D was co-led by Blackstone, Noteus, Airbus, and Advent, with investors including Fidelity Management & Research and Wellington Management also participating.
