Salesforce CEO Dismisses 'SaaSpocalypse' Fears as 'Nonsense' After CRM's Record Q2: 'Time for It to Stop'

Salesforce Inc. reported a record second quarter with accelerating bookings and revenue, leading CEO Marc Benioff to dismiss “SaaSpocalypse” fears as “nonsense” and say, “time for it to stop.” He pushed back on market predictions that AI would cannibalize enterprise software seats and weaken pricing power. Salesforce posted its strongest net new Annual Order Value growth in four years, while attrition stayed near record lows. Second-quarter revenue rose 11% year over year to $11.35 billion, and current remaining performance obligations (cRPO) increased 14% in constant currency. The company raised full-year fiscal 2027 revenue guidance to $46.1 billion–$46.4 billion.
