Scoop SS27: Co-ords, colour, content... and a big Italian contingent
Scoop SS27 wrapped up another season, highlighting strong interest from non-UK exhibitors and a clear push toward the UK market, according to organiser and attendee accounts. The show reportedly did not publish visitor numbers, though some exhibitors said footfall appeared lower at times while characterising it as “quality footfall,” tied to orders and decisions to exhibit again. Fashion emphasis shifted toward colour and print, with printed pieces returning to prominence alongside tweeds and classic tailoring from the previous season. A key trend was the rise of coordinated sets, including matching blazer-and-pants combinations, skirt-and-blouse looks and co-ordinated knitwear. Buyers included retailers such as Liberty London, Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, Le Bon Marché, Fenwick Stores and Hoopers, as well as institutions including the V&A, The National Gallery and Royal Opera House. Quotations in the report cite Liberty’s Olivia Kisz and Sister’s Lisa Hemstock describing the range of collections and entry price points spanning accessories, fragrance and footwear.
