Shooting that killed man, wounded mother doesn't appear random, Bexar County sheriff says

A shooting in northeast Bexar County early Monday left a man dead and his mother wounded, and the county sheriff says it doesn’t look random. Sheriff Javier Salazar said the attack happened around 2:30 a.m. at Waterside Drive and Crestway Road. Salazar said the victims were passengers in a car with two other people described as family friends when a SUV pulled up and opened fire. The man killed was in his 30s and the wounded woman appeared to be in her 50s. Investigators questioned an unhurt passenger, while the car’s driver—described as a woman—fled and was treated as a witness. The shooter was last seen driving east toward Kitty Hawk Road in a white Volvo SUV.
