Small plane crashes into family home in Germany, killing at least 1
A small plane crash into a family home in northern Germany killed at least one person and left a second person missing, according to police on Saturday. The incident occurred in Ganderkesee in Lower Saxony, where investigators said the aircraft lost altitude for reasons still under investigation and struck the roof of a single-family house in a residential neighborhood. The plane was reportedly carrying two people. One person died in the crash while rescue teams searched for the missing individual, and residents were not at home at the time, the German news agency dpa reported. A crisis intervention team was called in to support witnesses. Authorities evacuated residents within 100 meters of the site and temporarily cut power along the entire length of the road for safety reasons.
