Southbound Cave Creek Road closed near Sonoran Desert Drive after a serious crash

Southbound Cave Creek Road closures followed a serious multi-vehicle crash near Sonoran Desert Drive in north Phoenix on Saturday morning, according to the Phoenix Police Department. Police said officers responded just before 10:30 a.m. after reports of the collision at the intersection area. Investigators reported that a northbound driver crossed the median into oncoming traffic and struck up to two other vehicles. Officers found the truck driver unresponsive on arrival and administered Narcan in an effort to revive him. Phoenix Fire transported the hospitalized driver, and police reported no other injuries. The department closed southbound Cave Creek Road at Sonoran Desert Drive while it investigated and advised drivers to avoid the area.
