Musk denied the reporting, calling it “utterly false.” The article notes that SpaceX and sister company Tesla have manufacturing expertise and access to chips that could enable on-device compute, and that SpaceX has signaled interest in wireless services through Starlink Mobile as a potential rival to Verizon and AT&T. It also states the prototype is reportedly planned to run on a proprietary operating system integrating xAI technology, which SpaceX acquired earlier this year.
