Spain: Ibero-American Summit looks at AI and business initiatives
The next Ibero-American Summit in Madrid—officially set for November 4 and 5—will place AI and regional business initiatives at the center of discussions. Prensa Latina reports that ministerial and expert talks have been ongoing in the Spanish capital since November 1, ahead of the leaders’ high-level segment on Wednesday and Thursday. A new Ibero-American Artificial Intelligence Alliance aims to strengthen digital and cultural sovereignty, and presidents will submit the agreement for adoption. The alliance is built around three pillars, including an “Ibero-American Data Space” to develop AI systems serving the region’s public interest. The summit will also host the 16th Ibero-American Business Meeting to advance cooperation among Latin America and the Caribbean, Spain, and Portugal.
