Aspeed Technology expects AI infrastructure demand to drive growth through 2027, the company said, with chair Chris Lin pointing to early momentum from its next-generation baseboard management controller (BMC) chip. The AST2700 has entered volume production ahead of schedule, with shipments expected to reach 1 million units this year. BMC chips are used to remotely monitor and manage servers, enabling hardware maintenance without physical access. Aspeed holds nearly 80% of the global BMC market and said its products are in their eighth generation. Lin cited customer visibility from major server makers and cloud providers, plus continued AI-related expansion likely through 2028.
