The Ghost in the Shell' Anime Reveals English Dub Cast
The Ghost in the Shell anime franchise expands with the announcement of the English dub cast for the new Prime Video series arriving in 2026. The project, revealed in May 2024 as tentatively titled The Ghost in the Shell, is set to premiere July 7, 2026, with Science SARU involved and Production I.G, Bandai Namco Filmworks, and Kodansha among the partners. Prime Video will stream the series worldwide outside Russia and China, with Japan getting an early exclusive period. Anime Limited will handle a theatrical release in the UK on June 26, 2026, and has revealed voice casting including Suzie Yeung as Motoko Kusanagi, SungWon Cho as Daisuke Aramaki, and Bill Butts as Batou, among others. The main cast has not been fully disclosed. The series is part of the Ka-Anival!! programming block, featuring directorial debut work by Moko-chan, with Shuhei Handa leading character design and serving as chief animation director.
