Tiger Woods makes first public appearance since driving ban

Tiger Woods returned to the public eye Friday with his first appearance since receiving a five-year driving ban. The 15-time major champion attended Stanford Stadium to support Stanford in its college football matchup against the Miami Hurricanes, appearing relaxed while chatting with friends and staffers and watching from the sidelines. He wore a white Stanford cap and a wool quarter-zip from his Sun Day Red brand, and was seen speaking with Bay Area rapper E-40 before kickoff. The visit came two days after Woods appeared at the Martin County Courthouse to finalize a plea tied to a March rollover crash near his Jupiter Island home. He pleaded no contest to a reduced reckless-driving charge and refusal to testing, avoiding jail, but his license was suspended for five years.
