Trump Announces 'Super Intelligence Force' to Coordinate Federal AI Efforts
President Donald Trump announced a new “Super Intelligence Force” to coordinate federal efforts aimed at keeping the United States leading in artificial intelligence. In a Truth Social post, he said senior administration officials will run the project and that the group will engage with the public, organizations, critical infrastructure providers, and technology companies. Trump named Jay Clayton, director of national intelligence; Andrew Ferguson, chair of the Federal Trade Commission; Emil Michael, Pentagon chief technology officer; and Scott Kupor, director of the Office of Personnel Management, as leaders. The effort reports to Trump and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, and Trump said the government has rebranded AI as “super intelligence.”
