Two Women Injured In Snapps Ferry Road Wreck

Two women were injured in a near head-on crash on Snapps Ferry Road on Friday morning. The incident occurred at 9:15 a.m. south of the Mount Zion Road intersection, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol. THP said 77-year-old Jo Ann Thompson was traveling southbound in a 2017 Toyota RAV4 when her vehicle crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2019 Kia Sorento driven by 40-year-old Coral Gonzalez Lopez. Thompson’s car hit the guardrail, overturned, and spun into the roadway, while Gonzalez Lopez’s vehicle spun and ended up on the shoulder of the southbound lane. All occupants were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
