UK's Bloomsbury Publishing holds forecast steady as AI deals support performance
UK’s Bloomsbury Publishing holds forecast steady as AI deals support performance, keeping its annual outlook unchanged as it expects licensing revenue tied to artificial intelligence to remain a tailwind. On July 15, the UK publisher said continued AI licensing income and momentum in its academic and professional businesses will underpin growth. The company reaffirmed the forecast while highlighting that demand across those segments is helping performance, despite uncertainty in the wider publishing market. Bloomsbury’s update was reported by Prerna Bedi in Bengaluru and edited by Sherry Jacob-Phillips. The currency rate in the report set $1 at 0.7455 pounds. The approach places greater emphasis on AI-related monetisation than purely on organic publishing trends.
