UPESSC PRT Recruitment 2026: Application Deadline Extended, New Eligibility Criteria Announced

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has extended the registration deadline for Assistant Teacher Primary (PRT) Recruitment 2026. Applicants can now submit forms until November 4, 2026, instead of the previous October 28 closing date. The recruitment, under Advertisement No. 05/2026, targets 12,405 vacancies in the Secondary Education Department. UPESSC said the update follows an Allahabad High Court order dated October 24, 2026 and a notice from the Secondary Education Department on October 27. Eligibility has been revised to include candidates with a two-year Diploma in Special Education recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India, and those holding a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd). Corrections are due by November 7, with the written exam scheduled for December 3 and 4, 2026.
