VisionOS 27 RC Locks September 14 Date: Siri AI Comes to Vision Pro Next Week

Apple plans to deliver the release candidate of visionOS 27 to Vision Pro users next Monday, September 14, with build 24M362 seeded on September 9. The RC is the feature-complete last pre-release stage, meaning no new capabilities are added and only critical bug fixes are allowed. Apple says the development cycle ran through eight developer betas from June to August 31. The most notable update is Siri AI, rebuilt for multi-turn conversations and capable of using personal data such as messages, photos, and calendar events. On Vision Pro, it can also use Visual Intelligence—leveraging headset cameras and eye tracking—to answer about what the user is looking at, using a new 3D orb interface for conversation.
