Starting 101st on a grid of 101 karts, the Formula 1 champion completed the full run in 35 minutes flat, with his fastest lap clocked at 2 minutes 20.673 seconds. The chaos began early: the opening minutes eliminated 63 drivers after multiple collisions at the hairpin. Under the event rules, an overtake was final the moment Verstappen’s rear wheels drew level with a rival’s front, effectively ending races for many drivers on each pass. Verstappen caught the leading group later and finished by clearing Jacky Martens, after which the win was secured with 35 minutes remaining. The race director David Terrien credited Verstappen’s instincts for the margin.
