What Does Max Verstappen Make of a Le Mans Drive With Daniel Ricciardo?

Ahead of the F1 Mexico GP weekend, Daniel Ricciardo asked Max Verstappen about the idea of teaming up for a future Le Mans 24 Hours stint. Ricciardo—currently preparing for life after F1—said in a Beyond the Grid podcast appearance that he wants closure on his terms, likely via a one-off event rather than a full-time commitment, citing burnout from racing. He suggested Verstappen as a top choice and added Fernando Alonso as another potential partner; he also mentioned Sergio Pérez and said Sebastian Vettel could be considered if available. Verstappen, asked at a media session in Mexico, joked that Ricciardo was “smart” to pick him but said he ruled it out for now due to time constraints and existing F1 and GT plans.
