When will the Mayflower II be back in Plymouth MA? Follow its progress

Mayflower II was expected to return to its home berth in Plymouth on Thursday, July 16, after a weeklong visit tied to the Sail Boston celebration. Plimoth Patuxet Museums’ executive director Tom Begley said the response exceeded expectations, highlighting crowds lining the waterfront during the Parade of Sail and long lines that formed for onboard visits throughout the week. The 106-foot ship, a full-scale reproduction of the vessel that carried the Pilgrims across the Atlantic in 1620, would be towed back to Plymouth rather than sail under its own power. The Maritime Preservation and Operations team from Plimoth Patuxet Museums would accompany the voyage with assistance from Stasinos Marine, based in Fall River. The museum plans to reopen Mayflower II to visitors at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 18.
