Why is Davon Hamilton long snapping for Jaguars? Where's Ross Matiscik?

The Jacksonville Jaguars will weigh whether long snapper Ross Matiscik can return from a shoulder injury when they host the Philadelphia Eagles in London, according to the team. Matiscik is listed as questionable and was not on the field for an extra point after Parker Washington’s 51-yard touchdown catch. Defensive tackle Davon Hamilton filled in and handled long snapping duties for the punt in the first quarter. Matiscik has a record streak of 755 consecutive “good snaps” across punts, field goals and conversion attempts since his rookie season in 2020. That perfect run doesn’t include four snaps Hamilton took over in a 2025 game versus the Tennessee Titans.
