Bhuvneshwar Kumar has addressed the growing calls for his return to India, after Ravichandran Ashwin publicly backed him for the 2027 ODI World Cup. The 36-year-old fast bowler, whose IPL 2026 revival reignited debate, said he is at peace with being outside the national team. Speaking on his YouTube channel and later on the RCB Podcast, he credited his family for helping him move on without regret, adding he no longer plays to chase another cap. He pointed to enjoying the sport and referenced lessons like “control the controllables.” In IPL 2026, he finished second-highest wicket-taker with 28 wickets in 16 matches.
