Buccaneers Legend Warren Sapp Kicked Out of Tampa City Hall

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Hall of Fame defensive tackle Warren Sapp was asked to leave Tampa City Hall during a City Council meeting, after council leaders said he disrupted proceedings. On Thursday, September 17, the council approved a $100 million flood-prevention project following tense sessions. During a presentation, chairman Alan Clendenin paused the meeting to address an issue in an adjoining office, then twice halted the proceedings after telling disruptive people to leave. Police said officers responded and requested Sapp to leave for the day. Sapp told the Tampa Bay Times he was only picking up “some paperwork” and argued Clendenin had no authority to remove him.
