Bullard High School student named Commended Student in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program

Bullard High School senior Brayden Bentley has been named a Commended Student in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program. The recognition is limited to about 34,000 students nationwide. Bentley earned the honor by scoring in the top 50,000 of students who entered the 2027 competition after taking the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. While Commended Students do not advance in the National Merit Scholarship competition, the status recognizes strong academic promise. Bullard principal Chad Bentley praised Bentley’s hard work and achievement. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation will send Bentley a Letter of Commendation.
