Caleb Heil makes UND history with second straight shutout

Freshman goalie Caleb Heil made UND history by starting his collegiate career with back-to-back shutouts as the Fighting Hawks swept Bentley. In his first start Friday night, Heil shut the door, then repeated the feat Saturday for another blanking, this time in a 5-0 win at Ralph Engelstad Arena. Across the two-game series, Heil stopped all 29 shots in Friday’s game and 15 in Saturday’s finale, going 29-for-29 over the weekend. UND coach Dane Jackson kept Jan Špunar out to fully recover, saying he expects him to be 100% by next week. Anthony Menghini scored twice, with first goals from Brasen Boser and Hudson Malinoski.
