Can't get to Broadway? Catch 'Fallen Angels' in theaters

A revival of Noel Coward’s 1925 marital farce “Fallen Angels” is bringing Tony-winning theater to movie screens nationwide this weekend. The production streams in theaters and stars Rose Byrne, 47, alongside Tony winner Kelli O’Hara, 50. The play earned a Tony for Best Costumes and was nominated for Best Revival, with both actresses receiving Best Actress Tony nominations. O’Hara said the Noel Coward Estate collaborated with the team, leading to edits and a tighter version. “Fallen Angels” had not been seen in decades and plays out over a near full 24 hours. The revival also leans into physical comedy, including a staircase bit requested by director Scott Ellis. Early performances required adjustments after actors were hurt.
