Cannot escape': Afghan girl held at US military base in limbo amid Trump immigration policies

Zahra Muheb, a 15-year-old Afghan refugee, is among about 1,100 residents living at Camp As Sayliyah on a U.S. military base in Doha, a temporary home for displaced Afghans. Her room is a small four-walled space with a rug and family photos, amid a camp predominantly housing women and children placed there by the State Department. She says Trump-era refugee policies and an order halting resettlement disrupted life, creating fear and reports of threats from camp officials after she spoke to reporters. The State Department says it has no information about the alleged incident and continues work on relocating residents, including past talks of moving to the DRC.
