Chris Richards is Zavier Gozo's neighbor at Crystal Palace and now his guide through a first USMNT camp

Chris Richards and Zavier Gozo share more than a place in U.S. soccer circles: Richards, 26, lives just across the street from Gozo, 19, in greater London, after Gozo joined Crystal Palace this summer from Real Salt Lake. The pair sat together at the U.S. national training center on Thursday, two days before the U.S. plays Peru in Orlando in the first of four friendlies over 11 days. Richards said it’s been “a lot of fun” having another American nearby, helping Gozo adjust to a new city. Gozo, making his Premier League debut Aug. 22, has also logged minutes in the League Cup and adjusted quickly to Pochettino’s radar.
