Daylight saving time 2026 ending: When to 'fall back'
xCruzo Brief
Daylight saving time is set to end on Nov. 1, 2026 at 2:00 a.m. local time, when clocks will move back one hour to 1:00 a.m. As a push in Congress to make the practice permanent has stalled, most Americans will “fall back” within about a month. The change also varies by location: most of Arizona and Hawaii stay on standard time year-round, along with U.S. territories including American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. The Navajo Nation has an exception in parts of Arizona. The Sunshine Protection Act of 2025, backed by Rep. Vern Buchanan, passed the House 308–117 but has since stalled in the Senate.
