The developer behind Bangor’s £14m Marine Gardens revamp says the “full opening” has been pushed to next year, citing wet weather and material-delivery delays from China. The project, part of the £145m Queen’s Parade redevelopment, had expected to hand the first phase to Ards and North Down Borough Council in late October. Instead, only the McKee Clock arena section will be delivered to the council in November. The Christmas lights switch-on weekend is set for November 21. The remainder of phase one—including sunken gardens, grassed areas, promenade and a central focal point—now opens to the public in March 2027.
