Douah nets hat trick in Raiders' 5-0 victory over Faribault

Northfield High School’s girls soccer team earned its first Big 9 win of the season with a 5-0 home victory over Faribault on Thursday, Sept. 10. The Raiders improved to 2-2-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the Big 9. Midfielder Alaia Douah sparked the offense with a hat trick, while goalkeeper Linnea Wilhelm recorded her second shutout of the season. Northfield scored early, starting with Ceci Chapp’s upfield pass to Danika Bulfer, then Bulfer assisting Douah from a corner. Maria Miller added the third goal before halftime. Douah scored again at 30:11 and completed her three goals at 4:58, as the Raiders kept Faribault off the board. Northfield next visits Waseca on Sept. 14.
