Ebensburg revving up for annual Wheels & Wings event

Ebensburg is gearing up for its annual Wheels & Wings event, scheduled for Thursday across downtown locations in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania. The community event, described by Danea Koss, Ebensburg’s community development director, is positioned as the kickoff for summer programming and a draw for local businesses and participating groups that open their doors with specials. It begins with a wing-off at 5 p.m. among restaurants and food vendors, followed by judge awards for categories including best wings, hottest wings, best sweet and spicy wings, and most creative wings. From 5 to 10 p.m. along West Sample Street, additional vendors will serve items such as wood-fired pizza, brisket, Italian sausage, pulled pork, cheesesteaks, burgers, macaroni and cheese, and funnel cake. Adult beverages will be sold by Dauntless Fire Company, The Castle Pub, and Ebensburg Main Street Partnership.
