Flex lane on Georgia 400 to close permanently ahead of express lanes construction
xCruzo Brief
A flex lane on northbound State Route 400 near Alpharetta will close permanently in December to support the Georgia Department of Transportation’s State Route 400 Express Lanes Project. The lane—located just south of the Webb Bridge Road overpass through Exit 11 at Windward Parkway—covers about three-quarters of a mile. Beginning Dec. 13, it will no longer operate as an additional travel lane during peak morning and evening periods. Crews will remove existing flex-lane signage and striping, then install a temporary concrete barrier wall. Four northbound lanes will remain open, with Exit 11 access via the right lanes. Drivers are urged to slow down and plan extra time as schedules may change.
