xCruzo Brief
Florida's back-to-school tax holiday will last 1 month, keeping summer shopping momentum in the Sunshine State through late August. The Florida Department of Revenue says the 2026 school-supplies sales tax holiday begins Monday, July 20, and runs through Thursday, Aug. 20, ending after the school year starts in all Florida counties. County-by-county, the earliest school start date in 2026 is Monday, Aug. 10, when 39 of Florida’s 67 counties begin. Three counties start as late as Thursday, Aug. 13. Not all supplies are exempt, and only items meeting the state’s qualifying list will be tax-free.
