Gov. Josh Shapiro has raised $60 million for his reelection campaign. What will he do with it?

Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro’s campaign said Tuesday that he has raised more than $60 million toward his reelection since taking office, adding $13.3 million to his war chest since June. The preliminary figures give him a significant fundraising advantage over his Republican opponent, Stacy Garrity. Full campaign-finance disclosures for both will be available after state filings are due Tuesday evening. Garrity’s campaign did not share numbers in advance, though it had raised about $2.1 million by June. Shapiro has spent heavily on advertising and is aiming to keep “the foot on the gas” through Election Day, including support for Pennsylvania Democrats and efforts to flip the state Senate and win in four competitive congressional districts.
